Old Boots left this review about Half Moon

Internally modernised, double fronted, friendly, village pub with a large front and back room, counters in both. Seating is a mix of banquettes and chairs and tables of various heights. An horseshoe of standards plus solos of Neck Oil and Guinness. Although a short post on the counter showing Lees Founders Ale told me what was on in the back bar, the only cask on in the front one was Carlsberg Marstons 61 Deep which was fine even though the landlady warned me their cooler was broken and it might be warm. All the flooring treatments you could wish for, piped music, nice decor of the usual old photos but some more interesting prints and maps. Screen and pool in back bar which is a bit more public than lounge. A more than decent pub.

Graham Coombs left this review about Half Moon

A good traditional-looking pub-shaped pub in the village. The front bar is all smartly furnished, with tidy upholstery - just the one handpump on the counter but I then spotted two other pump clips for beers from the larger bar behind, with its own access off the car park. This is the livelier bar, with sports TVs and a pool table. Behind there is a decked area and a lawned garden right at the back. The ales, which were Yorkshire Blonde, Wadworth Swordfish and St Austell Anthem, seemed in good condition. They also do coffee and cake.
