Graham Coombs left this review about The Longboat

Despite looking like part of the Premier Inn, this is a surprisingly large Table Table operation with a big eating side and a fair-sized bar area, all in the fairly predicable modern budget hotel style. Just a Doom Bar handpump, although bearing a label saying "available in bottle", so how often it is actually on is anyone's guess. While not actively unpleasant, there is not much point in using the place, even if you are staying in the hotel part.

It really is just the bar for the Premier Inn although there’s a separate entrance and hapless members of the public and sad old pub tickers can wander in. There’s a single hand pump with a Doombar clip and draped upon it a small blackboard saying “available in bottles”, hands up who thought it would say “coming soon”? Two low T-Bars of keggy standards, I had half of dodgy Carling to be polite. No, just no.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Longboat

Table Table outlet attached to the Blossom Street South Premier Inn, with the usual semi-modern furniture and decor, but it does benefit from numerous partitions which means that each of the various seating areas is relatively self-contained. Limited drinks selection, but there is one bespoke Black Sheep pump so it looks like that particular ale is a permanent fixture.

This is a pub in its own right but in reality is more like the hotel bar the the adjoining premier inn. With hat said it doe have a fully functioning bar but is more focused on diners while still accommodating drinkers. There was only one ale available, Black sheep bitter at an ok £3.35 and was kept in really good condition.
This does not have a pub like feel to it and the screaming children didn't help but the beer was nice enough. I probably would not come here again but if ever in the area or staying in the hotel it is one of the better hotel pubs/bars I have been to so is worth a quick one.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Longboat

The Longboat is a pub which serves a new hotel build.
Once inside there is a single long oblong shaped room which runs the width of the pub,the bar faces on entry, the seating to the right is a few tall tables and chairs and normal ones, the left side has normal tables and chairs and is set aside for diners.
There was one real ale on the bar which was Black Sheep bitter, this was a decent enough drink to end my York crawl on.
Background music was playing, the pub was fairly busy with drinkers on my early Saturday evening visit.
There is nothing to attract beer drinkers to this pub,but it was one more off my list to do in York.
