Champs looks like a new build pub from the outside,it is situated at the bottom end of ecclesall road.
Once inside there is a very large L shaped room, the bar faces, there were two pool tables to the left and some american diner type seating, plus one long table with a long wood bench seat either side of it,the main drinking area is to the right, this area extends to the rear, there was a large TV screen showing live football.
There was some decent background music playing during my Saturday dinner visit.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Bradfield Brown Cow which went down well, the other beers were Bradfield Farmers Blonde and Abbeydale Moonshine.
This is not really my sort of pub,but the beer choice was decent enough.
This pub was ok for a quick half.

Will Larter left this review about Champs

If you find yourself in here and not much liking the experience, you can't really complain because there's a whacking great sign outside saying Sports Bar and Grill. The four hand pumps on the bar were offering Thornbridge White Swan and Jaipur, Sharps Doom Bar and Abbeydale Moonshine, which would normally have prompted me to walk straight out again, but I had come here with the express purpose of writing a review, so I had a half of the Doom Bar, which was drinkable without setting the world alight.

There is loud, booming music, a TV set every two metres showing sports (golf and a recording of the earlier tennis) with the sound off - or just drowned in the general hubbub, who can tell? Luckily, the sort of people who like this sort of place wouldn't be seen dead in the kind of pubs I like, a sentiment they would no doubt reciprocate.
