This is quite a nice old pub with some stained glass in the front windows and also in the bar pelmet. A stone carving of a crown has been uncovered and preserved, the remainder of the walls being painted grey. Overall it's quite smart and comfortable. Unfortunately the bar still has two disused hand pumps, so I went for Tetleys Smooth, which was cold but tolerable.

Sadly no cask beer here with the 2 cask beer pumps look like they were made redundant a fair while ago.The place seemed very dark and was certainly in need of a good spruce up. Having said that the locals and the barman were pleasant and friendly and the Fosters was only £2.10p a pint.Perhaps the pubs best feature was what looked like the original stained glass in the windows and also over the bar.
