Old Boots left this review about The Woolpack

Another old stone built pub that’s been heartlessly modernised inside with more fakery than you can shake a stick at. It starts to go wrong at the front door, a shop door or IKEA special with a big pipe handle and clear glass panel. Then there’s the floor, fake flags, old boards and a tartan, god help us tartan, carpet. Light grey tongue & groove, bluey grey counter front, nice enough 1930s style lights over the L shaped counter, Edison bulbs in cages elsewhere hanging from an in so many ways fake, ceiling. A couple of big screens on sport are available. There’s two pulls, only a deficient Landlord available, the usual forest of fake Pilsners to one side and a T-bar of the usuals at the other end. It seems to have have a good loyal local following. I plonked me’sen down at a free table admittedly with a tablet at the other end, it transpired this was the barmaid’s who was drawing on it between serving punters, incidentally I’ve never seen false eyelashes that long before.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Woolpack

The Woolpack is a nice looking stone built pub.
Once inside there is a single oblong shaped room which runs the width of the pub,the bar faces on entry, the room is carpeted, the left side is for drinkers, this area is square shaped with the seating being normal tables and chairs and a leather settee, the right side is set aside for diners, the seating in this area is bench type and normal tables and chairs.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Robinsons Dizzy Blonde which was quite a nice drink, the other beers were Hobgoblin,Tetley Bitter and Wells a Good Stuffing.
Despite this being a food lead pub,i thought it was a nice warm and comfortable pub to have a drink in,with the drinking area being quite nice.
