Steve C left this review about The White House

A stone’s throw from Roundhay park, the White House is a large Chef & Brewer pub hidden behind some trees from the passing road. Out the front is a split-level patio where a few diners were seated during a recent Tuesday evening visit. The entrance leads to a wooden floored seating area with a large rug that is faced by the central bar counter that runs across the rear wall. To the left and right is more seating, including carpeted raised areas. A door to the right rear leads to a ‘secret’ enclosed beer garden and on the opposite side of the pub to the left is a door signed ‘Function Room’. There was some background music playing, but no televisions.
Available from the bar was premium keg alongside Beavertown’s Neck Oil and I counted six hand pumps. GK Old Speckled Hen, Kirkstall’s Three Swords, Black Sheep’s Best and TT Landlord were available, but the Daleside Blonde and Big Hug Brewing’s Pave the Way were coming soon. The service was very polite, but it is a bit to dry led for me to return just for a beer. However, you can’t go wrong if looking for a family friendly pub with decent food.
