Fair selection of real ales but on my visit they were all very weak in ABV. Various levels and TVs and also foo was being served. Will not be returning to this one, mind you.

A nice enough pub. Its on several levels with an inside balcony area stretching around the pub. As noted it has a high domed ceiling as you enter. The bar is only small and is ahead of you as you enter. 6 handpumps in two banks of three and apart from Wainwrights the other five were from local breweries.

Now run by M&B, this pub is worth a look in, especially to marvel at the decorative ceiling dome. The young barman was friendly and welcoming and had a good background knowledge of what ales they sold and all the prices. We were also informed that their standard keg lagers were at least 60 pence cheaper than any Spoons in the area. They had six ales on handpump on our visit, mostly nationals.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Black Prince

Impressive corner building, previously a club or bar - operating under several different names - but originally a bank. Very high domed ceiling in the main bar, with further seating areas on different levels (including a mezzanine). Mixed furniture and decor, and standard Sizzling menus. Six handpumps, offering Leeds Pale (£2.85, but just £1 with some meals), Greene King IPA, Doom Bar, London Pride, Tribute and Copper Dragon Golden Pippin. Overall, the conversion has not been done very imaginatively, unfortunately, but it is certainly a more appealing prospect than it once was.

Over the last few years this has been Reflex, Flares & Revival. Happily it's now a pub having been originally built in 1843 as a bank and is Grade II listed. It's original incarnation is obvious from the impressive exterior and the ornate interior which includes a domed roof. The main area is on different levels and there's an upstairs area which was closed on our visit. There were several numpties in the bar taking full advantage of the 2 for 1 drinks offers on bottles. There are now 6 handpumps on the bar and my pint of Leeds Pale was in decent nick. It's not a bad place now, but there are several better pubs within a 2 minute walk.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Black Prince

The Black Prince is a new pub that is housed in a grand looking building which is quite close to Leeds train station.
Once inside there is a single large square shaped room with the bar on the left side,i was not sure about the seating in the bar area as it was rammed at 6.30,i had a drink in the rear area which is slightly raised, this area was carpeted and had normal tables and chairs.
I did'nt note all beers on the bar as it was so busy,i had a drink of Brains Reverend James which was a decent enough drink, the other beers i noted were GK IPA and a beer called Top of the Hops.
The pub was far too busy to really enjoy, but it might well be a decent pub when in at a quieter time.

Old Boots left this review about The Black Prince

Newly opened corner pub in City Square, open plan with front and rear spaces plus a mezzanine floor. Mix of posing tables with low backed leather stools and booths with banquette seating all in leather to the rear. Middle aged chav clientèle on my Saturday evening visit. 6 pulls of mainstream Tetleys, Tribute and Caledonian amongst others. It's handy for the station but no match for the competition which is presumably why it was not rammed while the nearby pubs were, including the less than wonderful Griffin.
