Quinno _ left this review about The Old Chequers Inn

Situated 10 minutes drive from Worcester is the Old Chequers, which is – despite its rural location – is actually in quite a hot-spot for pubs. The inside is spilt into two distinct areas – a long and fairly narrow U-shaped bar to the left and a restaurant/function room to the right, decorated in a fairly modern style (some magnoliaesque colour). To the rear was a decent garden area. There’s also a proper piano that apparently gets played regularly to entertain the guests. I was here for a wedding reception so saw it at a slightly skewed time, but there were four ales on (Wye Valley Butty Bach, HPA, Hooky Lion and boxed Ludlow Gold) and all drank well. The food served at the reception was done in a manner that would shame professional mass caterers – swift, tasty and polite. If that’s the usual service levels you’d do well to dine here. All-in-all, looked pretty good - one to take granny to for Sunday lunch and a couple of decent ales in it for you too.
