A member of crawl peeled off to do this and reported “Recently re-opened. New landlord. Skittle alley. Jennings Cumberland and Hobgoblin. Hobgoblin not at its best.”

Worcester News 27/07/2010
This pub is now reopened. It is a Marstons pub and the licencee has said she hopes to regain the student customers who frequented the pub before closure. It has a juke box and Plasma TV with hopes of raising teams for inter pub sports. May be a venue for younger people but its good to see a pub open again.

Alan Winfield left this review about Crown & Anchor

The Crown and Anchor is in a leafy area of Worcester and it is fairly close to the river Severn but above it.
Once inside there were two rooms and another seating area in the conservitory, the pub was quite comfortable and smart.
This pub is a Marstons tied house and there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Marstons pedigree and this was quite a nice drink the other beers were Marstons bitter and Banks's mild.
