Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Chestnut Tree

The Chestnut was our first venture into the backstreets of Worcester and ended up being a worthy addition to our crawl of the city's pubs and bars.

The barmaid was friendly and the ale selection was varied enough - Wye Valley HPA & Butty Bach are the regulars. Guests were Rat White Rat & Hillside Legless Cow.

Apparently there was a second room, but I just remember a single large room. Although, things were starting to get slightly hazy around this point of the day.

A large stand alone pub, which looked to be well supported from it's regulars on our early Friday eve visit. The pub has a good sized interior with the bar area facing you as you enter through the main entrance. There was ample seating over on the left and over on the right hand side there was a small stage, were a band was setting up for the Friday night entertainment.
Another point of interest was the numerous watercolour portraits around the walls depicting various comedians, of days gone by and a good collection of famous rock stars.
Four ales on handpump, we went for the Exmoor Gold.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Chestnut Tree

The Chestnut Tree is a decent looking stand alone pub that is in a residential area to the north of the city centre.
Once inside there were two rooms there was a basic bar and a more comfortable lounge which is where i had a drink.
Sadly there were no real ales on the bar, there were two keg beers and i had a drink of keg M&B mild and this was a decent drink the other beer was Banks's bitter.
This was a decent enough pub but it was let down by having no real ales on.
