Helen Iwanczuk left this review about The Bridge Inn
The last place I expected to find myself during an expedition to Evesham, was Shrub Hill station, but this is what happens when you miss a connecting bus back home! With two hours to kill, until my train was due, I decided on a brief tour around Shrub Hill, my first impressions of the pub scene in this area, were not that favourable.
I happened upon The Bridge Inn, which is located in Lowesmoor Terreace. The exterior of the pub is deceptively attractive, with it's half timbered facade. The same thing cannot be said of the interior, which alas, is open plan, sparsely furnished, with very little character. There were 3 hand pumps at the bar, but none of them were in operation, so I opted for the obligatory diet coke.
The barman was friendly and helpful, the other customers, although young, appeared friendly but they were engrossed in the England v Belgium game, bless them.
I'm sure the locals find this pub appealing, but as there was nothing to entice me to stay longer, I left.
