Small pub on Tenburys main street , the bulk of the pub is given over to the resturant area but to the front is a cosy traditional bar , the bar is to the left of the entrance and is a small L shaped affair , a few beams and traditional wooden furniture complete the decor .
Usual keg taps plus canned guiness and just the one real ale an OK Hobsons Best , service was ok and the locals friendly if a bit eccentric.

Called in for lunch today. General air of chaos even though by the landlord's own admission they weren't particularly busy. Very long wait for food which would have been less of an issue if we had been told this when ordering but there was a total lack of communication from any of the staff. Pub looks to have been redecorated fairly recently and is clean & tidy but style is rather bland & lacking in character or charm (along with the staff!). On the plus side when the food did arrive it was good and portions plentiful (Beer (Hobson's) was perfectly acceptable too :-) ) but poor service (it's nicer not to have to wait for cutlery after your meal arrives) spoilt the experience so won't be hurrying back to this pub.

The Ship Inn is a very smart pub, full of character with a beamed ceiling and a very cosy feel. The beer is served from a very polished L-shaped bar. There's also a garden at the back with seating which is popular during the summer months.Generous portions of food are available at lunchtimes and during the evening with most ingredients sourced from local producers. The fish though is delivered direct from Grimsby thrice weekly, so it is pretty much guaranteed that it'll be fresh.Overall the Ship Inn is a great pub situated on the main street in Tenbury Wells, well worth a visit for its excellent beers and food and friendly atmosphere. I shall certainly return.
