Whilst apparently the garden was packed, we had the interior of this superbly-located pub to ourselves. There are 2 rooms, both of which are dark and with low beams.

The ale range was decent - Exmoor Gold, Purity Ubu, Wells Bombardier & Swan Bald Eagle. In addition, the had a real cider on handpull, which was The Hop Shed Medium Cider No. 1. This was a new one for me.

A welcome find before the long journey across the county to out next port of call.

Not sure it could get much better on a summer Sunday afternoon after spilling off the Malverns. Lovely pokey interior. Two-level beer garden with stunning views out over the West Herefordshire hills. Lilley's Pear and Apple Cider on tap - delish - and a gorgeous nut roast with Yorkshires and veg for a tenner.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Chase Inn

This is your typical quintessential English country pub. Have to agree with the comments below as the beer garden to the rear of the pub has stunning views, looking over three counties. The interior consists of a central bar serving the main lounge to the right and a smaller room on the left. The pub features low beamed ceilings, carpeted throughout, log burning stove and bar billiards. There were six very well kept ales to choose from. We went for the Ramsbury Chalk Stream and the Ramsbury Deer Stalker, which were top class.
The pub was busy with home cooked food on our visit. I have to say the bar staff were very friendly and the only downside to our visit was the two cantankerous locals, as we were sitting in their seats, boo hoo.
