Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Pillar of Salt

In this location, you would expect a 'last legs' estate pub, but this one surprises in several ways. Firstly, the building and front beer garden look well maintained. Secondly, the two large rooms - one a busy bar with a popular pool table, the other an extended seating / dining area - have been refurbished in a semi-modern style at some stage. Thirdly, a full menu or Sunday carvery are offered at certain times. Finally, Banks's Amber (just £2.80, and in good shape), Hobgoblin Gold and Wainwright were available from the four handpumps.

Gill Smith left this review about Pillar Of Salt

Popular locals pub with large screen showing sky sport, plus TV's showing the same. There was table football, game machine, juke box, pool table and darts there. They had Banks Mild and Bitter, Wychwood Hobgoblin and Ringwood Boondoggle which was just about ok I suppose. Car park and outside drinking area.
