Real Ale Ray left this review about Horn & Trumpet

A good solid local's pub this one, with a couple of beers on handpump, Wye Valley and Bathams on our visit. The interior consisted of a front room hosting the main central bar, plus a rear back lounge. The interior was traditional in style and was away from the hustle and bustle of central Bewdley.

A Georgian brick build with a lower, dark painted brink frontage. There is a patio at the back. The interior has two old front rooms now knocked into one and a third room at the back that I didn't see. There was no music as the TV was on showing racing for the local clientele. The service was functional. There were a few ornaments and drink related pictures for decoration and a fireplace feature. Modern with a trace of historical feel. Beer: usual taps with Wye Valley HPA and a decent enough Ludlow Gold on handpull - a bog roll covered one of the other pulls! One for a swift half.

Multiroom but modernised pub, two rooms at front both with a counter but pulls only in main room to the left. There's four pulls of local beers in good nick, my Three Tuns was especially good. Odd mix of furniture including too many bloody cushions. Behind is a small side space then a bigger room with an unused counter, a fruit machine and a pool table, there's a bit of patio area beyond. Classic town centre boozer with the working class clientele avidly watching the cricket on my visit, so presumably under new management after Quinno's visit.

With ying comes yang. After doing some good little Bewdley boozers we stumbled upon this place whilst trying to seek out somewhere showing the football to keep Desmond sweet (there was no football here, incidentally). This is an incredibly basic two bar boozer, with some red fabric banquette seating and a pool table dominating the right hand room. That’s about it for things of note. Two ales on so we went for a swift half, the Enville was terrible but the Ludlow Stairway was a decent drop. In a town generously apportioned with good boozers, I wouldn’t advise bothering this one.
