Real Ale Ray left this review about The Bewdley Inn

Large traditional pub with an equally sized patio beer garden with plenty of bench seating. The interior was very plush with plenty of comfortable seating areas and flooring mainly carpeted with low beamed ceilings. Four handpumps with two in operation serving HPA and Butty Bach. Prices were fairly average, choice of music was irritating - Lewis Capaldi, George Ezra etc . Watch the opening times as it didn't open until 3pm on our Friday visit.

Delboy 20 left this review about Black Boy Inn

Now reverted to its original name and fully refurbished to a high standard the Black Boy has gone a bit upmarket. 5 hand pulls although 2 had just gone. Still a decent choice of 3 ales in good condition.

Quinno _ left this review about Bewdley Hotel

This may have been a nice pub 15 years back but it ain't now. A bit smelly and quite battered in places - I was hoping that they were mid-way through renovation but the plaster splats on the carpet and general air of unkemptness made me wonder (and seeing the review below as well…). A load of old boys playing dominoes in a somewhat frenetic manner belying their years. Was advised that ‘next door’ had the football on; ‘next door’ in this case being an external barn room done up like a nightclub. Three pumps with two ales, Worcester Way (musty undertones) and Dogs Bollocks. Strange place all round.

Oggwyn Great left this review about Black Boy Hotel

Pub is pretty well described in the previous reviews , its cosy if a little tatty around the edges , the room to the right of the entrance has now been converted to an office , the small bar is to the left and another room further round , there is a large function room in one of the out building , beers were the usual taps plus four real ales , Enville Ale , Otter , Abbot and Saddlers JPA which was in decent nick .
It was pretty busy on my visit , service was good and the locals friendly , worth a visit

Andy Ven left this review about Black Boy Hotel

A 3 minute walk from the Severn Valley Railway station at Bewdley. Handpulls are on one side of the bar only and included Enville Ale, Hobgoblin and Abbott. It was fairly quiet on my Friday afternoon visit. Although not as attractive or modern as the pubs on the other side of the river, the beer was in good condition so it’s worth dropping in for a pint if your time is limited before the next train.

Soup Dragon left this review about Black Boy Hotel

A large detached black and white painted brick hotel, restaurant and bar, with black paintwork, dormer windows and patio.

The interior seemed small at first, with a couple of rooms in an L-shape around a central bar, but a few more rooms were discovered - one with sofas and another dining room. The two rooms i saw were in yellow and white, with ceiling beams and some painted stone. There was a stone fire in the lounge/dining area and a brick fire in the bar. There were comfy high backed chairs, stools, sofas as well as settles in this eclectic place, which also had pewter jugs, various prints, brass ephemera and other memorabilia scattered around. There was a TV, that wasn't on and the background music was quiet. The place sold value bar snacks, we had a massive cottage cob, with ham, for £1.50, which was really nice. The service was very friendly and the clientele seemed to be locals and also friendly.

Beer; tap stuff with Wye Vally HPA, Abbot and a decent Enville Ale

We mistook this for the Black Boy in the GBG 2010, but i cant say that i was disappointed when i found out - Enville ale is quality and the place fun, with good service
