Quinno _ left this review about The Railway Inn

Surprisingly large place, a few minutes from the station and the only pub ‘twixt there and the long, dull walk into town. Not a bad front bar, knocked-through with a fake brick archway and a 'refurbished 20 years ago at expense' feel. Pool further on and a large dining spur. Dull modern music to accompany and the middle-aged hen-do who shambled in and kind of fitted the feel. One pump with a tired Otter Bitter (NBSS 2). Could do more, the basics are here, but feels content to trundle along serving the locals lager and providing refuge for travellers whose connection at the station is cancelled (me).

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Railway Inn

Handily located at the start of the station approach road, the original pub building appears to have been extended into a taller former warehouse at some stage. Partly opened out inside, leaving an elongated room with a pool table at the far end and a large sports TV. Refurbished, with modern furniture and slightly gaudy decor. Just one of the two handpumps was working, dispensing an OK pint of Doom Bar (£3.40).
