A fairly battered 18th Century high street coaching inn described by Quinno, below. There is a small car park at the back, and there are two tables with benches in the drive at the side. The staff were pleasant and helpful, but the locals were a little less friendly, one even obstructing our entry until we politely asked him to move. A faint smell of vomit pervades the atmosphere, smoke was drifting in from outside when the main door opened, the jukebox was annoyingly loud and the tables were sticky. Three pumps on the bar in the saloon area, two ales on were Pride and Three Daggers's Edge. The latter was in good condition and well kept, rather enjoyable. There were also 3 boxed ciders behind the bar. They hold regular events such as barbecues, and there is a family feel to the place. I'd definitely include in a town crawl for its beer and cider, but not sure I'd want to lodge here for a whole evening.

Recently refurbished but retains a traditional pub atmosphere over the two rooms which are separated by a middle bar. Two Yeovil ales, Stargazer and IPA (excellent shape) served by a friendly barmaid. Elsewhere it says that stillage is used but mine came out of a pump, I’m pretty certain of that – maybe things have moved on. Items of note included some framed currency from around the world and a collection of papers/magazines. Side garden. I liked it in here and I’d look to do this one again.
