Upmarket bar and restaurant for the moneyed set (yes, there must be some in Swindon). Large sideways C shaped bar with a restaurant off to the left in a separate building. Main bar is pretty dull; mainly neutral colours, though the bowed lower servery is of decorative interest. A couple of TVs showing a random channel to nobody. No cask, two gantries of keg; my Bath Monterrey set me back a shocking £3.20 for a half. The box was ticked and off I headed.

The Royal Oak is next to a very busy mini roundabout and on the edge of the old town.
This is a single bar pub with a narrowish room sadly there are no real ales on here only John Smiths smooth so i had a Guinness here.This pub is nothing special.
