The old coaching entrance has now been cleverly converted to be the main hallway/drag with a pseudo room at the end and other actual rooms off the side; the bar is on the left with serveries either side. No cask on the road-facing side but a token Abbot on the second which sadly was on the turn (NBSS 1.5). There's a lot of potential here but it's a lager-swigger’s local, I suppose the Bells has monopolised the cask custom. But if they made the effort here to get a couple of ales on I think they could do well, I quite enjoyed my 10 minutes despite the single crap cask. 5.5
