The Lamb is a busy village pub which has established a good reputation for restaurant food and real ale. It is one of two pubs in the village of Hindon, just off the A303, and makes a convenient stopping place when traveling to/from the West country. Currently, however, it is trading just a bit too much of past glories and is trying to be all things to all men. The food quality has declined significantly over the last couple of years, and standards of service, staff attitudes and prices have all changed for the worse. Food appears mass produced and there is a compulsory 10% service charge which is unjustified. Two ales on, and the pub does marginally better here, but only just - again, standards have fallen, and neither the Youngs nor the Bombardier was particularly well kept. Worth dropping in if passing, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here when there are better pubs a few miles away.
