Quinno _ left this review about Devizes Inn

A basic smelly interior refurbished at minimal expense or imagination, half of which was in darkness with a landlord spluttering like he'd got whooping cough. Cold, a small fan heater was plugged in though I'd have made more warmth by farting a few times. One cask on and a good half (NBSS 3) of the ubiquitous Hop Back GFB at least. The three customers and Mr WC briefly bonded by shouting out wrong answers (well, not in my case) to The Chase on the TV. Feels like a place on its last legs, sadly.

Two and a half room corner pub with three pulls with a surprising Timothy Taylors Landlord on one, afraid of what southerners do to it I started with a local beer from Hop Back which was fine, I then risked the Taylor's and it was 'orrible. Nice light decor with light wood traditional tables & chairs, plain but a decent pub. Screens, machines and piped music but friendly enough. Back room has a pool table, the half room a darts board and a couple of chairs & tables.

E TA left this review about The Devizes Inn

The Devizes is a town pub on a main road, just outside the City centre. Until the 1950s it was a fish and chip shop with an off-licence, then it was bought by Eldridge Pope and converted to a pub. It's now a freehouse. There are two bars, one with a pool table, large tv screen and gaming machines. The other is carpeted and lots of sports trophies on display. The only ale on was GFB which was OK but not on top form. This is a good old fashioned community pub, fine to drop in if passing, but it's difficult to park so is mostly used by the regulars.
