Tucked away in the ‘Worlds End’ part of Pewsey and to be honest you’d not be expecting to find a pub here, it feels quite off the beaten track and the exterior looks a bit knackered. An old skool interior, a main bar to the left with dark blue pub carpet throughout. This is home to the Worlds End brewery tap and we were fortunate to be given a quick tour of the brewery (a shed!). Six pumps at the bar with a perhaps ambitious four ales on; Hop Back and three Worlds End Gurt (good nick), Dark World (so-so) and Mesoic IPA (very good) plus Gwatkin cider. Friendly landlord and staff, we had a good chinwag about beer and pubs and stuff. I quite enjoyed it here, although it was notably the quietest pub in the village.

This is the home of the Worlds End Brewery but the pub was so quiet it felt like the end of the world. The pub was empty and the side public bar with pool table looked unused. The handpumps were in the large lounge but guest ales were unexciting and the home brew was also understinguished, yet drinkable.Real cider seemed a bigger deal with 6 being available. The pub itself is nothing to write home about ,yet it is listed in the 2016 GBG.Having crawled around town,I felt there were better options elsewhere for real ale.

The Crown is a centrally situated, traditional village pub with all the fixings including low ceilings and exposed beams, comfortable furniture and a friendly landlord.
This makes it all the more puzzling that the pub was deserted on our Wednesday evening visit. Perhaps there's too much competition in Pewsey or maybe the beer brewed on the premises isn't to the villagers tastes.
World's End beers on were: Arctic Blonde, Dark and Bitterus Magnus with Box Steam Summer Buzz and Wadworths 6X as guests. The Arctic Blonde was a passable home brew.
I liked this pub and the friendly welcome but wouldn't return for the beer.
