My experience was a bit more positive than Quinno's below, so I wonder if there's been a change of ownership. It's still decorated in Wadworth corporate colours, so has that rather bland feel about it despite the attempt to spruce it up with some brass wall ornaments, and despite the presence of painted beams and traditional flooring in the older part of the building. The garden is pleasant, the raised area mentioned below making for a good place for the dogs to run around. There was a group of locals enjoying the weather on the seating terrace at the side, while the car park was quite empty. There was no-one apart from us sitting inside. The main bar was probably the most comfortable area, the silence broken by agreeable background music. The smaller lounge at the side appeared clean and tidy, while the dining room at the back was laid to table and had the air of the Marie Celeste about it. The landlord was friendly enough, and he showed admirable patience with an elderly, somewhat entitled, customer whose demands on the coffee machine were most un-publike. Ales on were 6X, Horizon, Henry's and Burnt Orange, all in good condition. Worth a few beers, but in the morning I'll be sober while this will still be a Wadworth's pub.

Large and dull refit Wadworth pub. The dining area was the nicest place to sit but was supposed to be for diners only, which given the uncleared tables spotted elsewhere was hardly going to encourage custom. We decamped to the elevated grassed rear garden with a decent view over the hills. Two ales on; Waddies 6X and IPA. The 6X wasn't great and the last half went on the grass. Uninspiring all round really - Churchill wouldn't be pleased. He’d keep buggering on to the next place.
