Blue Scrumpy left this review about Neston Country Inn

Situated just south of Corsham in the village of Neston, this pub has fairly limited opening hours. Stepping inside was like stepping into somebody's front room. There were 3 other elderly customers and a fairly old school landlady. Two of the blokes had just had lunch and a few beers, whilst the third was drinking tea or coffee at the bar.

In addition to the main bar, there was also an unoccupied dining room off to the left-hand side. I soon got chatting to the landlady who was really friendly. The beer I chose was also in excellent condition. This was the guest beer called Wiltshire Tipsy Farmers from the Pirate Brewery. The regular beer is Stonehenge Pigswill, whilst she also had Iford New Tradition cider.

Welcoming place that I would say is well worth a visit.

Well summed up by Blackthorn, below, this village local has a good family feel to it and has a strong local cohort. There is a small unremarkable garden at the back and a tiny car park at the side, so most people park on the road. The dining room at the front is off limits to dogs, though children are allowed in, while the L-shaped lounge bar is more inclusive. The staff were really welcoming, and the other customers pleasant, even those with the aforementioned children. There were 2 ales on, Stonehenge’s Pigswill and Somerset Soul from Fine Tuned, both in excellent condition. There was also a real cider on draught. Food was standard pub grub, plus very popular Sunday lunches. Well worth a visit.

Pleasant tucked away pub in a small village. Fair sized bar with a slate tile floor and a cosier, carpeted restaurant area.
Turned up early for lunch before they had officially opened, but the friendly landlady was happy to unlock for us anyway and promptly lit the real fire.
Beers on tap were London Pride, Black Sheep and the festive Northern Cracker from Tetley's. Also Thatcher's Gold cider.
Lunch menu was decent enough with a good selection at reasonable prices.
Everything clean and well presented, with just a few tasteful Christmas decorations around the place. The mistletoe was an unusual touch, but unfortunately there were no attractive young laides around.
