Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Peterborough Arms

A roadside pub that is currently blighted by the closure of the B4069 that it sits on. Whilst the pub is still open, you have to take quite a detour to reach here. In fact, I think I caught the landlord a bit by surprise, when I was waiting for him to open the doors shortly after midday on a Friday lunchtime.

Once inside, the landlord soon started chatting and was interested to know what had brought me there. The interior consists of a couple of rooms. There is a bar as you enter and more of a dining room off to the right. Indeed, a few people arrived shortly after looking to eat, whilst an elderly local drinker also walked in.

The real ales were both locally brewed - Flying Monk Balance & Twisted Pirate. There was no real cider. The number of pumpclips on the ceiling and beams attests to the range of beers that they have stocked. Listed in the 2024 Good Beer Guide and deservedly so. Hope they can survive the long-term road closure.
