Quinno _ left this review about The Talbot Inn

Large recently-refurbished roadside pub, looking attractive made out of local stone. Inside is a fairly tasteful refurb (various farrow and ball shades) in a dog leg shape interior. To left on entering is pool and darts with main bar area as you follow round to the right with a nice light secluded eatery area leading off. Tennis was being shown on the TV. Three ales on and a nice selection in Bath Gem, Exmoor Silver Stallion and Wickwar BOB – the latter two were in good nick. Also Westons cider and perry on pump. Turned out the barmaid was formerly from my parish, so got a bit of friendly conversation and being easy-on-the-eye meant that it passed the time nicely. Still smells new so will take a little time to bed in, but on first impressions this place deserves to do well.
