Quinno _ left this review about Swan Hotel

Large hotel bar with two entrances. Rambling interior with a few rooms, the bar is on the garden side closest to the canal, the garden being a basic and unkempt patio that desperately needs a jet-washing. Bland modern muzak inside, so neither really seating options really appealed. Bangs on about its amazing QR code ordering system but as it is a mobile blackspot and also doesn't make clear the Wi-Fi code at the PoS it’s clear someone hasn’t given the process any real thought. Three cask; GK IPA & OSH and St Austell Tribute. The IPA was a flat murky fag-end mess but was replaced with apologies for a much better Tribute (NBSS 3.5) by a surprisingly engaging mature barkeep. Him aside, the place didn't particularly endear itself.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Swan Hotel

A fine old hotel, dating from 1500 if the frontage is to be believed, with a sizeable three-part bar / dining area to one side at the back. Given a semi-modern makeover at some stage, which doesn't grate too much thankfully. Thai-influenced menu, and live music events advertised (although it appears all rather sedate at lunchtime). Three Greene King real ales on handpump: IPA, Old Speckled Hen and the 'house' Best Bitter (£3.80).
