Alan Winfield left this review about The Royal Oak

The Royal Oak is a stand alone pub that is on the Northern side of Wetherby.
Once inside there is a single L shaped room with the bar facing on entry, the floor is carpeted, the seating comfy bench seating and normal tables and chairs, the right side extends to the rear.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of John Smiths Cask which was a nice drink, the other real ales were Copper Dragon Golden Pippin,Taylor Landlord and Bombardier.
Background music was playing.
I thought this was a pleasant enough pub to have a drink in.

Old Boots left this review about The Royal Oak

Traditional pub at the far northern end of the town past the High Street, it opens at four on Mondays to Thursdays, three on Fridays and noon Saturday / Sunday, closing at 11pm (10:30 on Sunday). Five handpumps with better range than most in Wetherby, Muse excepted, including Daleside and other non Black Sheep/Theakston beers although it substitutes Tetleys for the usual and more local John Smith's.
