The Crown Inn is a nice looking stone built pub.
Once inside there is a oblong shaped lounge to the front with the bar facing, the floor is carpeted and the seating is comfy bench seating and small stools, there is a separate bar room to the rear right which also has bench seating, there is a darts board and pool table in this room.
This pub is a Samuel Smiths tied house which i really like doing, there was one real ale on which was Old Brewery Bitter, this was a very nice drink and very cheap.
I quite liked this pub.

Called in around 11am on a Friday and felt quite young, with the pub doing a fair trade from gentlemen of a more mature age.Although the pub could possibly do with a bit of a revamp, the lived in look seem to add to the atmosphere.

Old Boots left this review about The Crown Inn

A Sam Smith's pub with traditional tap room and lounge layout, it looks to have a fairly intact early 20th century interior. The tap room, at the back with an entrance off a side street, is sparsely furnished and plainly decorated, the main item of furniture being a pool table. The lounge is a little more comfily furnished being brown but interesting. The landlady is a fine example of Yorkshire bluntness. Being a Sam's pub the ale is OBB, and not the best I've had, plus the range of Sam's kegs and bottles. The windows have interesting stained glass with the initials OSB, possibly standing for Smith's Old Brewery?
