Alan Winfield left this review about The White Horse Inn

The White Horse is situated on a busy road in an elevated position above Sowerby Bridge.
Once inside there is a small square shaped room to the front left, the main room is oblong shaped and carpeted, the seating is comfy bench type and small stools.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Thwaites Wainwright which went down well, the other beer was Tetley Cask.
The pub was fairly busy on my latish Saturday afternoon visit, background music was playing.
I thought it was worth the walk uphill to do this pub.

Open plan with a snug area to the left, a few auld lads were playing doms when I called in, darts are also available. In the middle a mainly vertical drinking area round the three pull counter, and to the right a seating area with banquette seating and wooden tables. Beers on were Doombar, Bombardier and Tetleys - my Tetleys was passible. Black Sheep beer mats hint at other guests. Nicely carpeted and decorated it looks to be a good pub serving its local community well. Screens and machines with a selection of low to mid range kegs on a single low T-Bar. Nice seating area outside at the front but it's on a main road although the bus stops just outside.
