Very nicely refurbished pub that is now one room, but with 3 distinct areas . The space to the left and right is devoted to dining during food service times, the central area is saved for drinkers. Once the food service is done they often have live music. This is the brewery tap for Oates brewery. Five beers available on our visit, with only one OMT, being from their own brewery. Other beers featured were from Millstone & Bootleg. All three I tried were in excellent nick. I'll definitely call again, if I can persude someone to drive again.

A Free House serving local "Oates" beers and guest cask ales. I called in earlier this month for the first time since it was The Old Bore and was pleasantly surprised at the refurbishment that had taken place, it had obviously been done with care and some considerable expense. The main bar area is facing you as you enter and over to the right is a beautifully appointed Dining Room with an open fire. To the left of the bar is a Lounge with another open fire and comfortable leather seating.
There is a small car park attached and on road parking is also permitted. Access for disabled is no problem.
I did look at the menu and would rate their prices as reasonable and fully intend to return with my Wife for a meal in this warm and cosy pub

Probably deserves 4 stars as a restaurant but no stars as a pub as it is very much food focused. Used to be a classic country boozer but sadly no longer. Fine dining but bills to match.
