Despite its somewhat rough exterior this is quite a pleasant village pub, albeit with rather loud music - and consequent loud conversation. There was lots of jubilee tat cluttering up the place when I was here, but the lass behind the bar was sympathetic in response to my "is there a party" jibe. There were two hand pumps on the bar, with JW Lees Founders and Ossett Yorkshire Blonde; I went for the latter, but wasn't impressed - possibly it had been sitting in the pipe for too long, though it wasn't off. I guess there were as many people in here as on a normal Saturday, which makes this a fairly popular pub for locals.

The Commercial is a decent looking pub that faces chapeltown.
Once inside there is a single square shaped room with the bar to the rear left, the room is carpeted and the seating is comfy bench type to the front and rear, there are two tall tables and chairs in the middle area, there is a pool table in a separate area to the front right.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Leeds Pale which went down well, the other beers were Roosters Yankee,Robinsons Trooper and Doom Bar.
For entertainment a TV was showing the Swindon v MK Dons game.
This is a very pleasant and comfortable pub to have a few drinks in.

A single room pub with a large alcove containing a pool table. Four pulls of mainly local and nationals, Purple Moose was a bonus on my visit although beer quality was just OK. Floored with carpets and with tiles round the counter, boards under the pool table. Furnished with bench seating, tall tables with stools and a drinking shelf in pool area. There are screens, machines and background music, of course.

The Commercial Pub in Pudsey has changed a lot in the last 12 months. So with lots of my friends saying its back to its best, I thought I would try the Commie again. First a nice warm welcome, a couple of real ales to choose from or John Smiths or Theakstons. The normal lagers, Guinness and Strongbow. Plus a draft cider unusual for up north. I tried the draft cider all I can say is it was lovely (sorry forgot its name). Talking to the landlady, the pub has had a paint job inside and out. Which I must say the pub is looking very clean and tidy. Sky has just been introduced plus a bar menu. The pub has lots of chalk boards for the real ales plus the food and different offers daily. Cracking pub again.
