The Ancient Borough Arms is a market pub,and just the sort of pub i like going in.
Once inside there is a decent sized oblong shaped room which runs to the rear,there is a small raised area to the front,plus some bench seating,the bar is on the mid left side,there is bench seating in bays opposite the bar,the room is carpeted and there is a pool table to the rear.
There were four unclipped pumps on the bar,so it was a drink of John Smiths Extra Cold Crap which was extra crap.
Food was being served and the pub seemed to be child friendly.
Why do i like pubs like this!.

this pub is definatly were the heart of pontefract lies!
the ABA offers many diffrent serives karaoke, live bands, northern sole, quiz, X factor (starts soon), Pool table, sky sports, tasty food and many more! the pub has brilliant staff always happy to help and services with a smile also the land lord and lady are really nice people im just saying it but please go! and leave me with some comments on the ABA thankyou
