Next door to the Commercial but a world away in terms of atmosphere. Pool table to left, exposed brick walls, log fire to right and some stained glass windowage. Porcine ephemera, tick. Four over six sticks, a mixed range including a cider. Plumped for what turned out to be a good half of Titanic PP (NBSS 3.5), served-up by a chatty guv'nor. I’d much rather re-do this one next time than the Taylor’s place over the road. 7.5

6 pulls with four on Landlord, Taylors Golden Best, Leeds Calypso, and a cider. U shaped with lots of old brown tongue & groove, exposed stone to one side, there's a pool table in other with proper plastered walls with mirrors and arty prints. Constant music. Less interesting beer choice than previous visits, otherwise pretty much unchanged in 5 years.

The Red pig now seems to be closed with all the signage taken down, and looks like it could be living accommodation but i cannot find anything on line to confirm this.

A single room alehouse style pub with a central servery, a semi-separated pool room to the left and a seating area to the right. The right hand side has exposed stone walls, decorated with some music related pictures and there's a pig's head over the classic fireplace, there's a juke box in one corner. The pool room also has a games machine and is decorated with brewery mirrors and more piggy stuff. There are six pulls on the counter, only three in use, two with Taylors and the third with a very drinkable White Horse Village Idiot, also available are three lagers, Strongbow, Carling and for a change Murphys stout.

Called in this pub having not been in for quite some time and was disappoined to find the quality of the real ale to be rather poor. At best the pint of golden best was very stale and the Leeds midnight bell almost sour. We ended up trying bottled budvar and even this was warm Diaappointed to see the range of bottled Belgian beers had gone as had the draft Leffe. The jukebox badly needs some TLC. What was once a very nice pub has gone down market, the ale quality has suffered and itwas full of very drunk noisy people

Not a bad place although the lighting is a bit dim even in the daytime. Usually a couple of real ales on and friendly staff.
