Alan Winfield left this review about The Red Lion

The Red Lion is just along from the Robin Hood and opposite the weir which was flowing really fast after an heavy downpour.
Once inside there is a single oblong shaped room with the bar to the rear right, the flooring is stone to the rear and wood laminate to the front, this looked a bit odd in an old pub like this.
The seating is normal tales and chairs, there is also a small snug to the front right.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Goose Eye Chinook which went down very well, the other beers were Saltaire Blonde and Bear Yorkshire Ale.
There was a real fire on the go to the rear.
This is a decent enough pub, with some decent beers on the bar.
