Well known single room pub up a side street near the Boltmakers, standard alehouse decor, slightly raised area in one corner, monopolised by dom’s players and unused sound kit in preparation for live music later on the day of my visit. There’s a low sofa to one side and tall benches and tables to the other. Five pulls, four with small brewery stuff, local apart from Oakham, a T-bar and two singles of other keggy stuff. Still sporting Worth brewery livery after a few years.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Cricketers Arms

A small and novel sort of pub, with a good choice of ales, across 5 pumps. The barmaid was upbeat and chatty and certainly knew a lot about cask ales. We went for the Bowman Wallops Wood and the Beer Monkey Uncle Bob's IPA, I went for the latter, which was excellent. The bar area was over in the far right hand corner and looked to be original. The bar was made from mahogany and was quite high in height.

A single room pub on a run down street but a fine cluttered interior and quite a lively pub even on a very wet Sunday afternoon. It can't be described as a traditional pub but not as a modern bar either although it has elements of both. Exposed stone walls decorated with a mix of posters and pictures, the furnishing is a bit mixed as well and there's a big screen in the small stage area, music and comedy are performed here. Five pulls on the bar with two from Yates and three guests all in good condition (it's GBG2014 listed), Flying Dog is available in addition to more prosaic kegs, there are a couple of interesting bottles in the fridge as well. Allegedly there is a bar in the basement but I didn't check that out. The windows are from the defunct Worth Brewery which apparently came to a sticky end.

A very small one-roomed pub with bare floorboards, the bar in the right hand corner and a small raised area by the front window which functions as a stage. We were here during a quiet weekday afternoon, when no one was here but ourselves. Beers available on the five hand pumps were Yates Bitter and Golden, Theakston Double Cross, Fullers London Porter and Abbeydale Moonshine. My drinking companion's Porter was very good, but unfortunately my Yates Bitter was very cold and consequently flavourless.

Unprepossessing boozer in a less-than enticing side-street that nonetheless offers five eclectic ales. My Banks & Taylor was in good form but served rather too cold. The small bar which is oddly located at the far corner of the room packs in some overseas bottled beer (over 20 listed on a blackboard to the left of the bar) and wine "specially selected for the Crics". The interior is a fairly grim affair – small, wood-floored, sparsely furnished with high tables/perches and fairly gloomy. When I called in on an early afternoon I doubled the attendance which was a contrast to the lively Boltmakers. It’s hardly a draw when it comes to comfort so I guess it’s more of an evening venue, especially so as the pub is big on live music and comedy with plenty of acts slated to perform on the calendar; ‘Real Ale, Real Music’ is the slogan outside. There is apparently a downstairs bar though this was closed on my visit. As noted elsewhere, not much cricket themed stuff in evidence; mind you, how often do you see Prince Albert in his estate of pubs? If you’re around during the day and like your ale, this is worth a look. But a cosy pub experience it is not.

The Cricketers has something of a bohemian atmosphere with a mixed clientele. This is inspired, I'd guess, by regular comedians and bands appearing on the stage at the front of the pub and is enhanced by subdued lighting a lot of vertical drinking. I don't remember seeing any normal height tables and chairs with seating being limited to bar stools around high tables or next to bar type shelves.
Beers on were Partners Ghost, Yates Bitter, Tring Blonde, Maldons Blackberry Porter and Coniston XB Bluebird Bitter. Not a stunning range and not tempting enough to prevent us from sloping round the corner for The Boltmakers exceptional Landlord.

A small interior with the bar at the rear right hand side, bare wooden floor,a few high tables and stools with a stage area infront of the only window where a band was setting up.It was already popular,so room was limited but I liked the wooden clad bar at elbow height where you could always prop yourself up.Candles in Jack Daniels bottles provided some lighting ,most customers seemed focussed on the music and the overall atmosphere was of a student pub when I was in on a Saturday night.
There were five handpumps mainly offering a range of local microbrewery output, although I struggled to find a pint that demanded a second. There was a fridge with an interesting range of bottled Continental and US lagers and clearly an effort is made to supply something different.
There was an unmarked downstairs area where many of the younger customers would disappear to,I assume some kind of cellar bar.I felt too old to investigate.
It's in the 2012 GBG,yet I felt it's focus on music and comedy nights is the real draw for the clientele. We sloped off to The Boltmakers for a bit of their culture.

By far the best pub in Keighley. Excellent real ale place with various ales from micro-breweries changing regularly. Regular venue for live music. Nice interior, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Just can be a bit of a squeeze sometimes but well worth a visit and a pint.
