Five years have elapsed since Keith Taggart's review and little has changed. Steve and Margret still run the pub. The beers are still in tip top condition and the food is excellent value for money. Yesterday evening my Wife and I had a three course evening meal for £9 each. This meal deal is on every Monday and Thursday. Other weekday nights have different offers. This is one pub that is certainly worth a visit.

Excellent Country pub. Focus is on food but drinkers welcome at the small bar. Two rotating guest beers always in superb condition. Frequently Well's Bombardier, Fullers London Pride, Taylor's Bitter or Copper Dragon (among many others). Food is traditional and huge portions for a very reasonable price. Famous for their Gammon. Steve and Margaret have run the pub for 26 years which is approaching a local record!
