Old Boots left this review about Brass

Long thin pub with a rear entrance opposite the Barum Top ‘spoons and another on George Street. The counter is at the George Street end housing three pulls, Doombar reversed, Moorhouses Blonde Witch and a reasonable Landlord. Plenty of keggy stuff of course and almost as many screens as taps. The carpeted Rawson Street end has tables and chairs down each side. The toilets are upstairs apart from the invalid one by the back door smoking area; an acessible loo is probably necessary given the customer age profile on my visit, definitely at the mature end of things.

ROB Camra left this review about Bow Legged With Brass

Just across the road from the Barum Top JDW, this pub is very similar, but without the food offering. One large room with separate areas all with large screen TV's showing both football and racing on my visit. Plenty of prints on the wall and very busy with an older clientele on a Friday late afternoon. The bar is at the far end and has 6 handpumps, 5 were on, 2 from Slightly Foxed, 2 from Moorhouses and Bombardier. Slightly Foxed Fox Glove was a very competitive £1.90 and was in good nick. Too much like a Wetherspoons look for me, but cheap, well kept ale means that I'd probably call in again.
