The Sun Inn, and its waist high walled beer garden, sit on the corner of the junction between Brighouse and Elland. The U-shaped interior houses an L-shaped bar that supports a premium keg range alongside three hand pumps which were drawing Timothy Taylors Landlord and Golden Best as well as Saltaire Blonde. There is also an extensive gin menu and the food menu consists mainly of pub classics priced between £10 and £14. There is table service Friday to Sunday and visitors are advised to book a table during this period. There are drink and food deals throughout the week such as fish Friday, steak night and two-for-one gin on Saturdays.
There are a couple of televisions in the bar area that were airing Sky Sports News. This pub wasn’t quite what I was expecting as I approached, but the welcome was friendly and the three other locals in attendance seemed nice enough. This pub is now open all day from noon.
