Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Roundhill Inn

The Roundhill Inn sits in the shadow of the M62 motorway (with no access to/from it), probably closer to Rastrick than Brighouse itself. It is also just in front of the local cricket ground. There is a very tight car park to the front of the pub.

The pub is listed in the latest Good Beer Guide, but noted that Google had it listed as closed. So, I was fully expecting to be disappointed, as I've found that Google is rarely wrong. Luckily for me, Google was wrong on this occasion and the pub had not long opened, being shortly after 4pm. An after-work crowd were already settling in.

There is a small bar area which opens up slightly on the left-hand side of the pub to an area that has more of a lounge feel to it. Service was a little awkward with the young barmaid seemingly more interested in trying to take a phone call.

There are 5 real ales, a selection that appears to be static - Timothy Taylor Landlord, Boltmaker & Golden Best, Bradfield Farmer's Blonde & the house beer Ashover Roundhill Citra. The latter went down very nicely and turns out to be a rebadged version of Ashover Littlemoor Citra.

Steve C left this review about The Roundhill Inn

The Roundhill Inn is a thin pub set back from the main road by a front car park. The small L-shaped bar located adjacent to the entrance faces some tables that line the front windows. To the left is a double-sided chimney breast with log burner that splits two seating areas. The rear windows have great views across Rastrick cricket club and the fields beyond. There is no television and there was no music playing, but there was a good atmosphere generated by the handful of locals and the extremely friendly owners.
The bar supports a standard keg range alongside Staropramen. I counted seven hand pumps that, during my recent Tuesday afternoon visit, were drawing Timothy Taylor Landlord and Golden Best alongside Bradfield Brewery’s Farmers Blonde, Copper Dragon Penny Pale, Sharps Doom Bar, Roundhill Brewery’s Citra and Squawk Pica Oat Pale. Food is not available, and the doors do not open until 16:00 during the week and midday at the weekend.
This is an excellent pub well worth going out of the way to visit!
