Two bar stone built pub in an estate of mostly older houses. The front bar is more lounge like with bench seating and nice maps as decor, the counter is straight ahead on entering and has three pulls, Landlord and Old Peculiar on. Through the back is a larger public bar, definitely a locals bar, not unwelcoming but I was marked out as a stranger by the buildery customers and surly barman in the bar. Three more pulls in here with Saltaire Blonde and Tetleys Cask which which I never know if it’s dodgy or meant to taste like that. This bar looks like an extension, fairly bland décor, all wooden tables and chairs and there’s a biggish screen. Ok for one and it opens earlier than the nearby pubs.
