We were in Littlehampton for the Fireworks Oct 2015 and unknown to me I visited this place(I think). There is a new extention on the back which can be accesed via Duke Street. It is the Anchor Springs Brewery Co and has the same address - 29 High Street. Anyway, I had two realy nice pints of Riptide 4.1% There are several beers brewed on site al of which I am sure would be just as good.

The brewpub for the Anchor Springs Brewery, this lively pub is based in the centre of town, on the pedestrianised High Street. The main bar is a large carpeted room that runs back a long way, the bar being along the middle of a side wall. Décor has a nautical theme with absolutely all sorts of stuff to look at, from the ceiling hangs a small boat, ship's lamps and fishing nets, there is a figurehead on a wall alongside cases of knots, rope splices, bits of rigging, maps and charts, model ships, propellers and working drawings of boat designs. In addition jugs, bottles, a globe and so on sit on high shelves.
To the rear there is a dartboard and a door leads outside to a small yard where there is an aviary of noisy budgerigars.
Stairs lead up to the Upper Deck where there is a pool table and another smaller less well stocked bar. Doors lead out to a terrace with unprepossessing views over service yards.
There is no food apart from the usual packaged snacks however a sign indicates you can bring in Cornish pasties from the proper pasty shop next door.
Being the brewery tap you are obviously going to encounter Anchor Spring beers, two on handpump, Liberty (£2.83) and Mild with a number of bottled versions behind the bar too. Additionally there was Spitfire, Dark Star Hophead, Doom Bar, Tribute, Skinner's Betty Stogs and Bombardier. Amazingly I saw someone choose Bombardier out of that list.
The clientele in the afternoon were mainly a lively bunch of older drinkers, ably kept in check by a no nonsense barmaid who certainly put one chap in his place when he became a bit of a nuisance. I suspect a younger crowd later, they advertise live music and they have a 12pm licence.
I enjoyed it in here, a good beer range, loads of interesting stuff to look at and a good lively atmosphere. Pub of the day on my short trip to Littlehampton.

It's about time that Littlehampton had a good pub. Went in this pub many years ago and for a while it was boarded up. however this has undergone a remarkable transformation with the new publicans. Right in the centre of the pedestrianised shopping area this mock Tudor frontage pub leads inside to one long drinking area with the bar half way down along one side. It has a very nautical theme with the lower part of the Walls clad in timber and the upper parts wallpapered with nautical maps. various bits of boats hang from the ceiling. there is an upstairs signposted as upper deck and car very. On the bar is six hanpumps two of which serving the local Anchor Springs Brewery ales. The Anchor Springs Undercurrent was superb. Other ales include Woodfordes Nelsons Revenge, Dark Star Golden Gate, Wadsworths Henrys IPA and Thwaites Original. Well worth a visit and only 5 minutes from the railway station
