Steve C left this review about The Shelley Arms

The Shelley Arms is located in Broadbridge Heath which is about a 25 minute walk from Horsham Town centre. Being out of town I wasn’t surprised to see a car park and sign advertising food as I approached on Saturday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. From the sign I learned that meal deals are available and further investigation revealed that all of the mains, excluding the steak dish, are priced under a tenner.
Inside the décor is traditional and the bar faces some tables and tub chairs that run across the front. There is also a gaming machine and a small flat screen TV that was showing muted Premiership football via Sky Sports. There was some Two Tone music playing from the jukebox and I noted that the yearly ‘Skank Holiday Sunday’ (1st May) was being advertised. This is a barbeque and Ska music day that costs £10 in advance or £15 on the day.
Around the bar to the right is a seating area with a retro arcade table and a golf machine. To the left of the bar is more seating and a pool table that is free to play on Mondays. The left rear of the pub is a large seating area with access to the rear garden. This large rear garden consists of some decking that leads to a grass covered area that is dotted with picnic tables and trees. There is also a small children’s play area with climbing apparatus.
I found the young lady that served me to be very polite. Amongst the standard keg range were three hand pumps. One of these was unused leaving Sharp’s Doom bar and West Berks Brewery’s Good Old Boy as the cask ale options. I would pop back in here if passing.
