Steve C left this review about Kings Arms

The Kings Arms has a long staple shaped bar counter that runs from front to rear whilst facing a strip of seating that runs up the right-hand wall. There is seating in the front windows, where a folk group were practising, and a spacious bar area with seating is found to the left. In the front left is a separate room with banquette seating and a copper fireplace, and at the rear is a door to the restaurant and ladies toilets, I didn’t visit either. I found the barman to be very polite whilst serving the Premium and standard keg as well as Robinson’s Dizzy Blonde and Unicorn. The folk music was very repetitive, but then it was a Monday night practise session. I think things may be a bit more lively when the advertised live music is happening at the weekends. I’d pop back in if passing.

A very pleasant multi-roomed pub serving 3 Robinson's beers, Unicorn, Red Jester and Dizzy Blonde today. A Thai restaurant is connected to it at the rear but it seems that you can eat in the pub. A lot of hats decorate parts of the pub. Its a really nice pub interior and was a relaxing place to enjoy an afternoon drink and, though the lovely smell of the food was making me hungry, I liked it.

Pleasant enough but more of a dining establishment than a pub, poor service lets it down as well

The Kings Arms is to the south of the town centre and it faces a busy roundabout.
This is a stand alone pub that looks like it was built in the late 60s,once inside the pub was carpeted and looked like it had one room this was quite smart and was more of a dining pub but as a drinker i was made just as welcome.
When i visited the pub it was a Robinsons tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Robinsons bitter and this was quite a nice drink the other beer was Robinsons mild.
