Steve C left this review about The George Inn

The George Inn consists of two front bars and a dining area at the rear. Both bars contain an inglenook and there is a jukebox in the right hand bar. I visited on a recent Saturday afternoon when standard keg products were available from the bars, each of which supports three hand pumps. In the right hand bar these were all unused but Fuller’s London Pride, Dark Star’s Hophead and Lilley’s Red Rabbit cider were available from the left hand bar. Out the back is a large beer garden that I did not visit due to a sudden summer shower. However, I did spot a separate function room that is available for hire.
Food is available from midday until 20:30 Thursday to Saturday and there is a carvery on Sundays from midday until 16:00. On Fridays there is a weekly quiz. I found the ‘proper London geezer’ governor to be friendly and the handful of locals in attendance kept themselves to themselves. I would have no problem popping back in for a pint if passing.

Good locals pub with a warm welcome and good service. I didn't venture into the restaurant but the bar area is comfortable with bench seating and stools around tables. Small unobtrusive wall-mounted TV and tiny corner bar with three pumps on - the London Pride was in very good condition.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The George Inn

Very traditional-looking village pub, with two bars - one set out for use as a dining area, but the other just the homely sort of room you would expect to find in a place like this. However, the atmosphere didn't really seem so welcoming. Large garden mentioned on the signage (not visited). Three handpumps, offering GK IPA, Pride (£3.30) and Seafarers (temporarily off). (NB - Review dates from August 2011.)
