Steve C left this review about The Elmer

At the front of the Elmer is a bar that houses seating, a pool table and a dartboard. During my visit on a recent Saturday afternoon the plasma screen was off and I didn’t see any live sport signs. This Fuller’s pub was the busiest of the three I visited in Middleton-on-Sea. Most of the customers were sat in the larger side bar where there is more seating. At the rear is a seating area that was full of tables set for dining. A long door on runners stretches across the pub so that this area can be turned into a function room. There was no background music which was down to people not using the jukebox rather than no music playing facility. There is an extension until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights and regular live music is advertised. Out the front are some picnic tables and at the rear is a car park. Accommodation is available and dogs are welcome in the bar, I am unsure about the rooms.
A standard keg range alongside Amstel was available from the bar. There were also four hand pumps that were drawing Fullers London Pride, Seafarers and HSB along with Lacons Brewery’s Legacy. The kitchen is open from midday until 15:00 and 18:00 until 21:00 Monday thru Saturday and from midday until 16:00 on Sundays. There is a bar menu (cod and chips £7.95) and more expensive dinner menu (farmhouse mixed grill £12.55). I found the service to be polite and I am a fan of Fullers so I would return.

I L left this review about Elmer Inn

This fullers pub is certainly the busier pub in the village on a Saturday afternoon. It had four Fullers / ex Gales ales on handpump during our visit. The HSB was in very good order, so we had a few more of them! The inside of the pub has been modernised. There is a front and rear drinking area served from the same bar. The front area is the more locals gathering point with the larger rear area being the 'lounge' side with some comfy corner bench seating in some areas. The bar staff in here are friendly aswell. One of the better pubs in the area in my view.
