Steve C left this review about The Beresford

The Beresford is a large food led family friendly pub located just across the road from Middleton-on-Sea beach. Outside the front of the pub is some patio seating and a small car park. Located at the rear is an advertised beer garden that I did not visit due to a sudden downpour. The L shaped bar supports a standard keg range and six hand pumps. During a recent Saturday afternoon visit two of these were off leaving Theakston’s Grouse Beater, Courage’s Directors, Young’s Hummingbird and Caledonian Brewery’s Beresford Ale as the cask options. The kitchen is open from midday until 20:30 Monday to Saturday and from midday until 18:00 on Sundays. A carvery is available during lunch and dinner periods and most mains from the menu are priced around the £10 mark. The carvery to the left of the bar was up and running during my visit and I must admit that it looked and smelt fantastic.
This pub does not open until midday, but there is an extension until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. During my visit there was some low background music playing and I noted that there is a quiz every Tuesday from 20:30. I also spotted a couple of dogs at the feet of their owners. I found the service to be polite and I would have no hesitation returning here for some food if I had the family in tow.

I L left this review about The Beresford

This is a deceptively large pub inside. It is open plan inside but with two distinct sections, with the back section laid out for dining. There is a rear beer garden but this seems to be much quieter than the seating out the front of the pub. There were two ales on during our most recent visit but the Thwaites Black Bull bitter was served too cold and therefore killed the taste. we have had better pints of ale here on a previous visit so let's hope this was just an off day.
