Slightly uninspiring choice of cask but seems well kept. Two room traditional interior, a bit cluttered with tables and chairs in the bar, dog friendly, outdoor seating, sufficiently far from the centre so as to be a locals pub with a buzz of conversation and laughter. Good selection of bar games. Pleasant paved garden at the rear.

The Kings Arms is as traditional as ever with a friendly crowd of regulars. My recent visit saw 5 ales (Pride, Summer Lightning, with one from each of Langham, Only With Love and Goldmark), plus craft keg in the form of Neck Oil. 2 ciders were also listed. At £4.40 a pint, and good quality ale, it remains a must visit.

Good locals pub at the far end of Tarrant Street which is worth the walk. Good choice of real ale, I've been in here twice in a week, and while my beer was exellent on my first visit it was'nt so good on my return. The pub as 2 rooms and some seats outside to the side, the room at the back is really quirky. I will definetly go back to see what different ales they have on.

A lovely pub, up a side turning off what town centre Arundel has, it actually looked closed from the front but general access is to the side where a buzzy bar area is found with locals engaging with the fat of the day and a bit of banter. This side room seemed on my afternoon visit to be the main area, carpeted, ceiling beams with dangling pewter tankards, pump clips and photos on the walls with the lower area wainscoted, large brick inglenook fireplace has horse brasses affixed. Beyond a rear area is up a brick step, leading to the facilities and a nice garden beyond. Another outdoor area sits to the side. Papers in a rack and there were several piles of games to choose from. Various events advertised, including a quiz and an ale club with brewery showcasing nights.
They don't do food but there are takeaway menus and you can order and the pub provides the crockery etc.
The beer range was Hammerpot Bottle Wreck Porter, Kissingate Chennai IPA, Pride plus one not clipped.
A proper old pub with atmosphere and good ale, my only gripe was the sign about a mobile phone policy. They seemingly have some sort of fine system based on if you make or receive a call, I'm sorry but the second part of that is not controllable, they would have got short shrift should the issue have occurred, no one likes a phone brayer but this is 2015 and everyone has one. A sign saying please go outside would be rather more polite. Ironically, they had commercial radio playing. Down a mark for that. Edit: Do you have to pop outside to phone for your takeaway?

Oldest pub in Arundel, so the sign says, and well worth a visit. Kind of a games area at the front with dartboard, jukebox and various board games scattered around. Back area more where your regulars gather round the bar and the impressive fire. Jukebox a little bit too dominating for our lunchtime visit, although if you liked your Dad's record collection (Pink Floyd, Status Quo, Meatloaf and the ilk), you'd have been well in. Seemed to ignore our selections when entered. Spent pleasant couple of hours playing darts and drinking Arundel Gold in this ever so slightly out of town pub, which was 10 times more of a pub than the other overly priced ones for the more pretentious tourists

Best in town by a fair margin. Very traditional local with several rooms winding round to a central beer garden. Too far from the main drag for the tourists to find so very much a locals' pub and very friendly too. A GBG regular, Arundel brewery beers amongst a good selection.

Well worth a visit.

Unspoilt, or just old-fashioned? I'm sure this place has changed little over recent years and is none the worse for that. Mobile phones are not encouraged - there's signs to that effect, as well as several other home-made ones offering the landlord's viewpoint on the smoking ban and beer price increases.

My Arundel Sussex Gold was a little hazy, but tasted ok. I could have had London Pride, Youngs Special or the guest ale. And, had it been slightly sunnier, I could have sat in the sun trap of a beer garden (not directly accessible from the street, and up a few steps).
