Soup Dragon left this review about The Winning Post

A detached and rather bland looking modern estate pub with beer garden and kid's play area. The pub is somewhat irregular in design and is in plain brick. The interior has one large room on three levels. It, like the exterior is in plain brick, and has a bit of an 80s feel to it (i dont mean that in a bad way). There is some horse racing memorabilia on the walls and the large TV was showing horse racing! There are three pool tables and a dart board. They do Indian food and the portions and prices are really good - i just had a starter and was stuffed. The service was really friendly and the clientele small, but more to the mature side. Beer; no real ale, usual tap stuff with a decent Banks's MILD. I was really surprised at my visit here - the building isn't inviting, but i found a warm welcome and a pub with all the games and facilities. Sadly no real ale, but the MILD was certainly drinkable. I would definitely return here for some food and a swifty.
